Twitter Quote:
In the past, content was king; today context is the kingdom. p.38

Book Paragraph:
Human networks create a meaningful context within which content can be consumed and digested to create new value. In the past, content was king; today context is the kingdom. The enterprise that is able to network and tap into resource nodes to address a surfaced need within another part of the network will be able to successfully conduct business within a digital ecosystem that is tuned to optimize learning and growth.

The biggest loss in opportunity for the learning function lies in the fact that it has, consciously or not, rejected informal learning. p.36

Book Paragraph:
The biggest loss in opportunity for the learning function lies in the fact that it has, consciously or not, rejected informal learning. Simply put, if the majority of learning happens informally within the context of work and the course paradigm is ill-suited to the time-sensitivity or task-orientation of the modern-day digital enterprise employee, it does not stand to reason that the learning function should continue to focus almost exclusively on formal learning.
